EGM 20th DECEMBER 2010

At 1.00 p.m. today Guido and myself handed in to the Administrator's office a request to have an EGM "to update the owners on the state of the community's finances and to discuss the immediate removal of Sandra Amelia Lopez Villalobos as President of our community". The EGM will also discuss the need for an external audit of the books. The call for an EGM was felt necessary following the sacking, without notice, of Eugen (our maintenance man) and a review of the accounts/books at the Administrator's office that some of the owners undertook. The request for an EGM was signed by the owners of 43 apartments (over 25% of the apartments in La Finca) having just over 27% of the coefficient.

The President now has 15 days to call an EGM but if nothing happens by then, then we are entitled to call it ourselves. It curently looks as though the EGM will be sometime in December.

In view of the importance of the EGM, I hope that as many of you as possible will attend but if you are unable to, then it is important to give your proxy to somebody who will be attending.

I have heard that the EGM is likely to be on 20th December but I await the official notification to be certain. In view of the importance of this EGM can you please ensure that you either attend or give your proxy vote to somebody who will be attending. Many thanks.

The EGM is now fixed for 20th December. It is very important that owners either attend in person or give their proxy to somebody who will be attending. We need to put La Finca on a proper financial footing. The current position is worse than we have been advised so far. If your name appears on the debtors list that was sent out with the advice of the EGM can you please arrange for payment to be made prior to 20th December as otherwise you will not be allowed to vote. Good Morning John & Elaine. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the EGM as I was back in England for xmas. However I am able to report that Sandra is no longer President. A majority voted to remove her and make Guido Bruan - C205, the previous Vice President, President at least until the AGM. We have a new committee of which I am one of the committee members. The other committee members are David Ridley - Duplex 8 (Vice President), Juan Lorenzo Suarez Moreno - C216, Adriana Valentina Keresztesy - C207, Victoriano Garcia Garcia - E113, and Allan Williams - D113 (other committee members) and Brokers y Analistas remain as Administrators/Secretary. I'll find out when the minutes of the EGM should be issued. The committee had it's inaugural meeting on 23rd December (which again I was unable to attend - being in the UK) but they have already started to sort things out re Eugen and get to grips with the community finances.
